SMG Brings a Spectacular Dragon to MGM MACAU

For the start of the Dragon Year SMG accepted an invitatoin from MGM MACAU to strategically plan their Lunar New Year show; as part of this, we designed a unique dragon to soar mid-air across MGM MACAU's Grande Praça.

The concept of the MGM Dragon originated from SMG's CEO & Founder, Richard Kwang, and is a cross between Chinese and Western cultures presenting the dragon in a totally new, yet powerful, style. He rallied Pat Lee, the internationally renowned comic book artist and creative designer of Transformers, Superman and Batman, to bring his concept into being.

Pat has skilfully blended high tech and traditional elements to create a modern dragon to appear in mid-air across the Grande Praça. At 25 meters long, a weight of 8 tons and with 560 laser lights covering its body, the swooping MGM Dragon is a stunning and glittering spectacle to behold.
